Complete Basic Hive (Assembled)

The Complete Basic Hive has all the basic initial needs for a new colony of bees, whether it’s your first package or nuc, a swarm that you caught, or the new colony that you’ve created after a split is performed.

Most typical colonies will grow to use 2 deep hive bodies for their brood nest and 3-4 medium boxes (or “supers”) for their honey stores, so you’ll want to plan to add additional equipment to this hive setup as the colony’s space requirements grow throughout your season.

Made from high-quality U.S.-sourced Eastern White Pine, this hive kit’s woodenware equipment will stand up to the test of time and will allow you to use it for many colonies and for years to come.
