Lyson RAPID Medium Box

The R.A.P.I.D. medium super is designed to fit perfectly with the new Lyson Multi-frame hive system, allowing you to expand your colony’s space as it grows. Medium supers are ideal for honey production but can also serve as brood boxes in an all-medium setup.

Crafted from molded polystyrene, this box features built-in hard plastic reinforcements along both the top and bottom edges for superior protection against hive tool wear. The dovetail joints make assembly quick and effortless — simply slide the pieces together, no tools required (glue optional). The dense polystyrene body is tough, long-lasting, and provides excellent insulation in both hot and cold climates.

Each R.A.P.I.D. component — from bottom board to cover — securely interlocks to maintain perfect alignment and prevent shifting when stacked. This design also minimizes air leaks and blocks water intrusion. For maximum durability, finish with a coat of high-quality exterior latex paint.

The R.A.P.I.D. medium super holds 10 standard medium Langstroth frames, making it an essential part of the Multi-Frame Lyson hive system. Its robust design ensures long-term stability and resistance to warping or environmental stress. Best of all, no hardware is needed! Supplied unpainted, it gives you the freedom to finish it with your favorite exterior latex paint for lasting protection.
