Frame & Foundation Options (Choose One)

All frame options include foundation—you only need to select the type that best fits your beekeeping style:

Plastic Frames (Fully Assembled & Ready to Use):

• Black plastic frames with standard wax-coated plastic foundation
• Black plastic frames with heavy wax-coated plastic foundation (extra wax for faster comb drawing)
• White plastic frames with standard wax-coated plastic foundation

Wood Frames:

• Wooden wired frames with beeswax foundation
  Note: Wax foundation is shipped uninstalled to prevent damage during transit.

Understanding Your Options

Heavy Wax vs. Standard Wax (Plastic Frames):
All plastic foundation comes pre-coated with beeswax. The heavy wax option has an additional layer of wax, which helps bees accept and draw out comb more quickly.

Black vs. White Foundation:

• Black foundation – Ideal for brood boxes; makes it easier to see eggs and larvae
• White foundation – Commonly used for honey supers; shows the natural honey color clearly
