Lyson RAPID Deep Box

The R.A.P.I.D. deep hive body combines easy setup, superior insulation, and outstanding durability for a long-lasting, healthy colony. Designed to fit the new Lyson Multi-frame hive system, this deep body is perfect for expanding brood space and supporting colony growth.

Made from molded polystyrene, it includes hard plastic reinforcements built directly into the top and bottom edges to protect against hive tool wear. Dovetail joints make assembly fast and tool-free—just slide the pieces together and you’re done (glue optional). The dense polystyrene construction provides exceptional strength and reliable insulation in both hot and cold climates.

All R.A.P.I.D. components—from bottom board to cover—interlock securely for proper alignment and stability when stacked. This tight-fitting design prevents shifting, air leaks, and water intrusion. For long-term protection, finish the exterior with a quality latex paint.

The R.A.P.I.D. deep hive body holds 10 standard deep Langstroth frames, making it an essential piece of the Multi-frame Lyson hive system. Its solid, hardware-free construction resists warping and environmental wear over time. Delivered unpainted, it allows beekeepers to customize with the exterior latex paint of their choice for optimal protection.
