Metal Queen Excluder

This metal queen excluder is placed over the brood chamber. The screen is wide enough to let the workers through, but too narrow for the queen. It's made of galvanized steel and sure to stand the test of time.

The queen excluder is meant to keep the queen out of the honey supers, as if she lays eggs in the honey supers, it will be hard to harvest clean honey. This durable, metal queen excluder built by Pietrzak-Kubiak, the makers of our in-hive queen isolation and introduction cages, is made with sturdy, riveted edges.
