BroodMinder Cell Hub

The BroodMinder T91 Weather Cellular Hub is the simplest way to automatically collect data from your BroodMinder devices and send it directly to the cloud — no WiFi required. Stay connected to your hives anytime, anywhere, with 24/7 data access from even the most remote apiary locations.

Designed for outdoor durability, the T91 hub comes with a protective weather shield that can be mounted on a post, tree, or even placed on top of a hive. It also includes a black velvet pouch that helps protect the hub from direct sunlight and insects, while still allowing accurate humidity and temperature readings.

The T91 has built-in temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure sensors, allowing you to monitor the weather conditions in your apiary in real time. Its rechargeable battery typically lasts 4–6 months between charges. When it’s time to recharge, simply connect the hub to a USB power source or portable battery pack (not included).

What Is a Cellular Hub?

A cellular hub serves as a bridge between your BroodMinder sensors and the cloud, collecting data from your devices and uploading it automatically through the cellular network. This means your hive data is updated in real time, even if your apiary is far from home WiFi.

In addition to forwarding data from BroodMinder sensors, the T91 hub also monitors and reports local weather conditions (temperature, humidity, and air pressure). With its weather-resistant design and rechargeable battery, it’s built to withstand outdoor environments while keeping you connected to your bees year-round.

Subscription Information

To use the T91 Cellular Hub, a MyBroodMinder Premium subscription is required. This plan unlocks enhanced features beyond the standard free version and is billed based on the number of hives you’re monitoring.

Subscriptions are purchased separately through the BroodMinder Membership page and are not included with the hub.

Do I Need a Data Plan?

No additional data plan is required. The T91 hub comes ready to use with a prepaid SIM card that connects to all major LTE carriers, automatically selecting the network with the strongest signal in your area.

The included data plan typically lasts around five years. When the prepaid data expires, simply contact BroodMinder to replace the SIM card and continue service.

Power and Charging

Since this model does not have a solar panel, you’ll need to recharge the hub every 4–6 months. To recharge, plug it into any USB power pack or wall charger. There’s no need to replace internal batteries — just recharge and reconnect!

Installation Overview

The T91 hub is typically installed near the center of your apiary to maintain strong communication with all BroodMinder devices — especially internal hive sensors, which have the shortest range. You can mount the hub to a tree, post, or set it on a hive cover.

Installation Steps:

1. Sync all BroodMinder devices with the Bees App before powering on the hub.

2. Remove the orange silicone protective cover.

3. Turn the hub ON — LEDs will flash green, then blue.

4. Check the Bees App to confirm that data is being transmitted. “MBM_last upload” should show the current date and time.

5. Reinstall the orange cover, starting from the USB side.

6. Place the T91 inside the weather shield.
